This fall, I will once agin be teaching at the Quilt Zone. I love teaching here. Saturday and Sunday, August 24th-25th, are the class sale days. This means if you come in and sign up for classes on those days, you get a 20% discount. There will also be many fabrics that are discounted between 20% and 40% just for this sale.

I will be there on morning Saturday. So come by and see me, sign up for class, and buy some fabric.

Artful Machine Quilting
Saturday September 14th 10AM-2PM
In this class, I basically tell you everything I know about machine quilting on a domestic machine and then you try those skills out.  I will also be teaching this class again on Saturday December 7 2PM-6PM.

Tipsy 9-Patch
Saturday September 21 1PM-6PM
This is a new class. I’ve got some tricks for cutting wonky blocks that make this quilt move. We’ll talk about how to use prints to create a graphic modern look for your quilt. Beginners are VERY welcome in this class.

Kitchen Sink Quilts
Saturday October 19 3PM-6PM and Saturday October 26 2PM-6PM
I’ve been teaching this class since I taught at the Calico Whale in Valdez, but I am always learning new tricks and tips to share with students. This is a great quilt for using up left over blocks and bits. You will learn a lot about free form piecing of traditional blocks, pattern and color, and design.

Rocking Novelty
Saturday November 2 2PM-6PM and Saturday November 9 2PM-6PM
This is my favorite baby quilt to make, but you can also use other novelty prints to make Christmas quilts, teapot quilts, Nascar quilts, you get the idea. This is a great quilt for a traditional quiltmaker who wants to liberate her quiltmaking just a bit.

Circles and Curves
Saturday November 16 1PM-6PM
I’ve been playing with Circles and Curves for years. This class covers all you need to know to make traditional ruler cut and free form circles and curves. This is a technique class that will really expand your piecing skill set.
