This is me yesterday morning preparing my supplies for the Craftsy’s Open Studios Event at the International Quilt Festival in Houston, Texas. The power went out! It’s about eleven in the morning, but you’d never know it by how dark my studio was.
It seems like every time I have an important deadline Mother Nature decides its the perfect opportunity to have a major windstorm on the south side of Anchorage.
Fortunately, the power came back on within six hours, unlike last September when we were without power for almost five days on two different occasions.
I am almost packed, but I will never be ready.
I hope to see you Houston. Don’t be shy, we’ll never met if you are.
P.S. What do you think of the plaid? I am very much on to this idea of piecing prints.
I like the plaid! I would even love to see a big plaid quilt.
I’m totally into the plaid! I’m working on something vaguely similar. But in individual pieces rather than all over. Can’t wait to see where you go!
A little lack of lighting is not going stop you, is it? Have fun teaching and seeing the sights.
I love the plaid!
congratulations on your new website I, too, would need a major assist, technologically speaking, to put such a thing together.
Loved you class! So nice to meet you in Houston. You should go to Craftsy and teach us there. In Brasil we take many classes from Craftsy and you are such a great teacher!
Thank you Renata! It was super fun. Maybe I will teach on Craftsy someday, but I sure would love to go to Brazil!
