Blinding high noon sun

HIgh Noon Sun MC Shellmakes for great shadows.

Shadows by MC ShellCars whizzing by on a two lane highway–mountains covered in glaciated ice to the left and a half-frozen choppy Cook Inlet to the right. Which would be a better death–a mountainside collision or drowning in the cold waters of the far north?

Road to Girdwood by MC ShellTwo days of downhill action for the boys–this is so different from my Kansas childhood. I did not see a mountain until my late teens. They have known rugged ridges all of their lives.

MC Shell AlyeskaI have this urge to make these bits into trees. Should I? There is a voice inside my head saying this would be childish, but then another voice says that is exactly why I should do it.

Tree Bits by MC ShellAnother half-finished favorite just might make it to the quilting phase.

Think Big by MC ShellAfter waiting patiently for two months, Gertrude has arrived! My three-dimensional muse, my doppleganger, my very own dress form.

Dress Form MC ShellI hope everyone is enjoying the last days of 2013.

  1. Good incentive to not gain any weight, your doppleganger…….

  2. From Arizona, your outdoor photos make me say Brrr! Pretty, too. Love your work in progress! Good luck with your dress form!

  3. Praying you keep your wheels on the road and out of the icy water!! Have fun creating.
