An Invitation

I am always a bit sheepish about inviting people to things. I hate to put people in a situation where they really don’t want to go, but feel kinda like they should because I invited them.

I know, maybe that’s weird.

I know most of you live no where near Homer, Alaska, but you might know someone who does. And you can tell them to show up at the Bunnell and say nice things about my work.

And there is the fact that you might be going to Homer in the near future, and you could stop and see the show then.

So please consider yourself formally invited to my first ever SOLO Show. I have hard copies of the show announcement and a pdf, but I do not know how to upload a pdf to my blog. If any of you know how, I’d love to hear about it.

So here is a photograph of the front of the announcement.

  1. I’ll be there in spirit! Have a great show – bet it’s packed!

  2. I would be there is a second if I could. Seeing your work in person is so on my want list. Since Alaska is a long drink of water from Skiatook, Oklahoma, I will be there with you every step of the way in spirit. Good luck, have fun, and, enjoy everyone there.

  3. Wish I could be there. Your post made me remember that I was in Homer about 25 years ago. Enjoy your show!

  4. Wish I could be there..Best of luck to you ! Much love and a hug too!

  6. Photo on cover is great. Snowed in or I’d be there, hah! 3 inches in Columbia, SC today and all has come to a screeching halt. Good luck. We always wonder if anyone will come to a party and then after they leave we wish we could do it more often. You’ll see. Carole

  7. Congratulations on your show. Love the invitation~ ! ~
I will “reblog” and share via facebook ! I love your work and know that anyone who has to a chance to meet you face to face will enjoy that encounter! I did when I met you in Houston at IQF.

Are you near Homer Alaska? If so, there is a wonderful artist who has a show starting in February….Go meet Maria!!

  9. Yup – I’d be there if I could. Someday, Lord willing, I’d love to visit Alaska, and wouldn’t it be great if that someday actually fell during this time.
