I am always a bit sheepish about inviting people to things. I hate to put people in a situation where they really don’t want to go, but feel kinda like they should because I invited them.
I know, maybe that’s weird.
So, I have been thinking about my show at the Bunnell Street Arts Center, and how I hope that I won’t be standing in an empty gallery the night of the opening. And then it occurred to me that you people can’t show up if I don’t invite you.
I know most of you live no where near Homer, Alaska, but you might know someone who does. And you can tell them to show up at the Bunnell and say nice things about my work.
Or you might want to join me in spirit, and that is a good thing too.
Or maybe you do actually live near Homer, and I will get to meet you.
And there is the fact that you might be going to Homer in the near future, and you could stop and see the show then.
But none of that can happen, if I don’t first invite you.
So please consider yourself formally invited to my first ever SOLO Show. I have hard copies of the show announcement and a pdf, but I do not know how to upload a pdf to my blog. If any of you know how, I’d love to hear about it.
