Umm, I like all of the youth quilts more than I like the adult entries that I have seen in this year’s competition. I need a class in “The Youthful Brain” or “The Youthful Eye.”
Susan- That’s a great point. All of the quilts in the youth category have a “let’s just go for it feel” that the adults are missing. It’s something to think about while in our studios. I like that class name too!

I agree with Susan about the 7 year old’s–my favorite. All I can think of is her grandmother who probably introduced here to sewing like mine did. Kept me busy sewing buttons on and sorting them into mason jars. They were all so beautiful almost like candy Jujubes) I remember.
Rainbow Magic is a spectacular quilt for anyone to make at any age. You are very right. Tripp and I used sort buttons too! It’s a great kid activity.
