Teaching Schedule 2017

I am very happy to say that I am not leaving the great state of Alaska until the end of April. In the meantime, I will be hiking, knitting, and hopefully creating some new quilts worthy of sharing. This year, I want to finish many MANY quilts. My goal is 36! I know that is a tad unrealistic, but part of me also knows that while I will most likely fail at reaching that goal, in my failure I will get a heck of lot done. So I do it.

I have been invited to teach at some very special places, and I hope you will consider joining me.

My first gig of the year is here in town.

April 27 – 30, 2017

I will be attending the annual SAQA conference. This year’s conference is called “Creation to Curation” and is in partnership with the International Quilt Study Center and Museum. This is a bucket list destination for me.

While at the conference, I will be hosting two Lightening Round Talks which were a huge hit at the 2016 SAQA Conference in Philadelphia. Essentially, these are one hour long talks with eight speakers each talking for 6 minutes and 40 seconds about 20 images.

thumb_IMG_0496_1024I wrote about these talks in these three posts.

SAQA PK Talks Round One
SAQA PK Talks Round Two
SAQA PK Talks Round Three

If you are SAQA member—and I hope you are—you can watch six of these talks in this webinar

  1. Your course offerings all sound so intriguing and it looks like your teaching will take you to some great locations! I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to learn from you and be inspired in person this year.

Was very sad that I couldn’t fit one of your classes into my Quilters Affair schedule.

  3. What an exciting schedule! I see you are teaching at one of my favorite places in the world–Sisters!!
