Improv Patchwork—Dynamic Quilts Made with Line & Shape

Dear Readers,

Tomorrow is a big day in my world.

Tomorrow, C&T Publishing will launch a ten day blog hop. Each day a different blogger will share what they like or found interesting about my new book Improv Patchwork—Dynamic Quilts Made with Line & Shape.

What does that mean for you?

Well, all ten bloggers will be soliciting comments. Each time you comment is a chance to win a copy of the book. US winners will receive a hard copy and international winners will receive a digital version. If you read and comment on each blog that is ten chances to win the book!

Of course, if you want the book now you can order a signed copy from me, or from  Amazon or at C&T Publishing

    • Thank you Sandy! I fixed it on my blog, but if you are reading the post from an email, it won’t work. For some reason this happened with about three of the links. I don’t know why, but they are fixed now if you click on the link in the blog post.

Congratulations! How exciting to launch your book – a true labour of love! And now you have asked I won’t be afraid to say hi in Houston. My daughter and I are going for the first time in honour of our quilt being in a special exhibit. And I will get a copy of your book for sure!

    • Congrats on exhibiting your work! Which exhibit should I look for? Yes. Please say hello if you can. Thank you Jo!

Thank you for asking! It is the Canadian Nine Patch 150 special exhibit. Two friends of mine had had an idea to put together an exhibit and decided that for the 150 anniversary of Canada the time was right to try. What a process! We are the little engine that could story. They gathered friends and friends of friends to make a quilt for Canada’s birthday with a nine patch some where. It resulted in 26 totally different quilts from traditional, art, and modern and one antique quilt. ( my great grandma’ quilt made for her sisters wedding in 1909.) my quilt was mad as a homage to these sisters with my daughters help. Others made there first art quilt. Some quilts are made by SAQA members. It is a varied group. So thrilling to have the entire presented grouping accepted. What began as a dream has come to a reality! Koodos to my friends Shelly and Leslie for doing this.
I volunteered to do a talk on the quilt. Never have I jumped so far out of my comfort zone!
The dream becomes reality next week!
Looking so forward to meeting you. I plan to attend your school house talk.
        Jo
