For those of you committed to improving your quilting skills in the next few months, I have just the thing for you—Virtual Quilt Workshops!. Here is the upcoming schedule of teaching events that I am offering to the general public.

OPEN STUDIO ($25 for THREE Hour Session)
Open Studio is a three hour long feedback session where students can share their work to get feedback, ask questions about compositions or technical skills, and work to advance compositions that were started in other workshops. This is a great way to check out my workshop scene and see if you want to be a part of it.

MAKING PRINTS—STRIPS & STRIPES ($135)
Starting with the basic stripe or strip set, students will learn how to piece an assortment of linear prints—stripes, dots, track, and plaids. While learning how to build these new units, students will also be given information about working with solids colored fabrics, improvisational piecing techniques, and ideas for taking these techniques and creating original quilt compositions. Lectures Sessions will be recorded and available for 30 days after the end of the workshop.

ASYMMETRICAL SYMMETRY—JUXTAPOSING IDEAS ($145)
Advanced design workshop for students who have taken at least one other workshop with me. Students will gather four sources of inspiration for interpreting into a unified quilt composition that explores connection, variation, rhythm, repetition, and form. Lectures Sessions will be recorded and available for 30 days after the end of the workshop.

BLOW IT UP—Big Block Quilt Composition
Description: Using the traditional quilt block as your starting point, we will enlarge and magnify the lines of the structure and use them as a skeleton for building a pieced composition. From there we will explore a variety of ways to create texture, pattern, and repetition in that space.

Description: In this workshop, we combine the basic design elements of art with the traditional quilt block to create interesting, new, and dynamic quilt units.

Artful Oven Mitts
Description: Learn all the basics of quilt making—piecing, quilting, and binding—while creating an artful oven mitt.These are perfect gifts for the holidays and are super fun to make.

Color—It’s Relative
Description: Color is the one of the most important components to quilt making. This short and intense workshop is based on a series of mini-lectures and exercises designed to take your color usage to the next level.

Improv Triangles—Perfectly Pointless
Description: The triangle is an elegant shape that can be used to create dynamic quilts. This workshop covers all manner of triangles and ways to improvisation-ally cut and piece them into patchwork art.
Time & Date—After you enroll in the workshop, QuiltCon Together will send you links to the workshop videos. You may also sign up for an extra Q&A session.

Linear Blocks—Line into Shape
Description: Students will use the traditional log cabin quilt block as well as other linear quilt block shapes as the starting point for creating original compositions. Improvisational piecing, contemporary quilt design, and using lines to make shapes are all discussed in this class.

The Plaid Experiment—Tartan UP!
Description: Learn the basics of creating your own plaid by using a simple formula, from there all manner of plaids are possible. This workshop is a fun and creative way to explore some basic concepts of original design.
