  1. Wow; rustic for certain! But, you have a great machine. I would be asking my dear husband to bring out his tools and cut a big WINDOW right behind where your machine sits! More light and a view. You have seen my space, looking out at the tree tops. Often I gaze out the window for that inspiration. I am amazed at your scrap containment! Mine is on overload right now. I sat down and made about 30 string blocks just to let me close my 1.5″ bin. I like the idea of incorporating the orphans into a new quilt. At our 2nd time around table I run for the guild, I am always asking people to “adopt an orphan” for a second chance. Our community sewers use them in baby quilts as “focal points”. Don’t forget to relax and let nature inspire you !

  2. I do have two windows. but my favorite is too look out the barn doors which are near my cuttng table. I laughed out loud at your desire to close your bin. Maybe you need another bin? Too funny. I LOVE using orphan blocks. I hope your summer is going well Mary. It has been beautiful here, but today the rains have come. Which we need, so I can’t complain.
