Are you feeling blah?
Do you have trouble getting to asleep at night thinking about all your unfinished projects?
Is your creative core being neglected?
Do you dream of making things–all KINDS of things?
I know just the solution to your problem.
Three days of stitching in the woods with me. AKA SEW FUN 2014.
Here’s how it works. I set up a sewing class room in the Old Hardware Store in downtown McCarthy, Alaska.
Then we all start making things–all kinds of things.
Pajama bottoms and tote bags.
More tote bags with fun appliqué on them.
Fancy patches for your hubby’s Carhartts.
Quilts from upholstery fabric and vintage blocks made by family members.
And Oven Mitts! (I will even bring you your very own pattern.)
Now doesn’t this look like fun?
Just look at how happy these ladies are ironing.
Don’t you feel better just thinking about all the things you could make with a sewing machine? And I will be your helper the entire time. Don’t know how to read a sewing pattern? I will help you. Want to discuss design issues concerning your latest art quilt? I’m there. Need a lecture on color. I’ll give you one. I’ll even rip and iron if you need me to.
Doesn’t it make you happy thinking you could be right there stitching away?
Yummy food.
Cocktails and irons.
And non-stop stitching for three days straight.
I’d love for you to join me. Recharge yourself. Here is the link to sign up at the Wrangell Mountains Center.
I truly wish I could get in on this fun, but we’ll probably be in NM, TX, or AZ those dates
Some day you will make it up to Alaska! In the meantime enjoy your travels.
Looks like loads of fun. What a great idea!
Thank you Terri. Maybe some day you will join us. It really is a great thing to get together and sew.
