It has been a while, so I am jump starting this blog with a bit of exhibition news.
Six of my quilts are currently on view in a LIVE gallery setting as part of the Attleboro Arts Museum’s exhibition BY HAND—Illuminating the bond between Artist and Material.

According to their website, “By Hand presents original works that exemplify a symbiotic relationship between material and artist. The pieces on view demonstrate that creator and media are inextricably tied, and their mutual respect has served as fuel from concept through construction. With this strong bond, each player surfaces the other’s best qualities, allowing both to glide into new territory.”

It actually felt really strange to be prepping those quilts to be mailed across the country. It is something that I haven’t done in the past 12 months.
The exhibition opened on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 and will be on view until Saturday, May 1, 2021.

Want to see the exhibition no matter where you are in the world? Well, let’s do it.
There will be a virtual Artist Talk along with the Gallery Tour on Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 5PM -6PM EDST. You can register to attend this FREE and open to the public event here.

Three artists—Cindy Eid, Derrick Te Paske, and myself—will be talking about our work.

You can see more images of the exhibition by following this link.
I hope to see you there!

I just watched the Artist Talk, and enjoyed it very much. The Q&A session was interesting, too. Wish you and I could see it in person!
