I am very happy to say that I am not leaving the great state of Alaska until the end of April. In the meantime, I will be hiking, knitting, and hopefully creating some new quilts worthy of sharing. This year, I want to finish many MANY quilts. My goal is 36! I know that is a tad unrealistic, but part of me also knows that while I will most likely fail at reaching that goal, in my failure I will get a heck of lot done. So I do it.
I have been invited to teach at some very special places, and I hope you will consider joining me.
My first gig of the year is here in town.

2017 SAQA Conference
April 27 – 30, 2017
I will be attending the annual SAQA conference. This year’s conference is called “Creation to Curation” and is in partnership with the International Quilt Study Center and Museum. This is a bucket list destination for me.
While at the conference, I will be hosting two Lightening Round Talks which were a huge hit at the 2016 SAQA Conference in Philadelphia. Essentially, these are one hour long talks with eight speakers each talking for 6 minutes and 40 seconds about 20 images.
I wrote about these talks in these three posts.
SAQA PK Talks Round One
SAQA PK Talks Round Two
SAQA PK Talks Round Three
If you are SAQA member—and I hope you are—you can watch six of these talks in this webinar.
If you are attending the conference this year and would like to give a Lightening Round Talk. Here are the details for making that happen.

I hope this schedule entices you to think about studying with me. I am especially excited to teach BLOW IT UP! and Authentic Patchwork on a national level. If your organization or guild would like me to teach for you, please check out my complete AND newly updated course offerings on my website and/or contact me directly if you have questions.
Your course offerings all sound so intriguing and it looks like your teaching will take you to some great locations! I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to learn from you and be inspired in person this year.
Marla- I am looking forward to it!
Was very sad that I couldn’t fit one of your classes into my Quilters Affair schedule.
Bummer! But maybe there will be a next time?
What an exciting schedule! I see you are teaching at one of my favorite places in the world–Sisters!!
I know! I have wanted to attend this event for many years! Will you be there this year?
